Valve along with Hidden Path Entertainment brings in the new installment of the most best-selling franchise. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter. This game is only a download title so expect this game on PSStore, Xbox Live Arcade, and Steam Shelves. Is the game true to the series or has the hype bomb been defused?

The traditional rules of Counter-Strike are simple and challenging. There are multiple rounds per game. To win a round, you have to plant or defuse the bomb, rescue or keep people from rescuing hostages, and eliminate the opposing team. If you die, you will be out until a new round start. The newest addition, if you have AI Bots in your team, you can control them to be back in the round. The series traditional game mode can be accessed via Classic. The challenging and fun gameplay is still there and better than ever. There are also new modes such as Arms Race and Demolition which they both involve getting a frag to advance to the next weapon. All you gungame fans might be familiar with these new modes. The selection of weapons never disappoint. The same old CS franchise armor has finally returned in CS:GO. You also get new weapons such as the stun gun and the molotov. The connectivity in the multiplayer game is great. Instead of searching for servers, you get matchmaking lobbies. There is barely any connectivity issues in this game. There are outstanding and great options ranging from your display to controller settings. There are more display options giving you the ability to customize the HUD and graphics display. You can play with the classic controller but you can play the game with either PlayStation Move or Keyboard and Mouse. The gameplay of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is intuitive and great just like the franchise.

Look at everything around you, the new visuals of CS:GO are off the charts beautiful. The new look to the menus are complex especially the buy menu. The redesigns of the old maps are amazing and so are the designs of the newly released ones. The audio presentation is swift and amazing. The sound effects of amazingly intense as if you are in the game. The menu music makes you extremely welcome to the game. The modeling in the game is outstanding and impressive. The character designs brings out the new bling in the CS franchise. The redesigns of the weapons are done very well. The performance of the game is very amazing and well done.

CS:GO is definitely the best first-person and the best entry in the franchise. Besides the cross-platform play being removed due to circumstances, but this game is the perfect one for any Counter-Strike or FPS fan to pay $15  and download this wonderful title. Do what you can to able to play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
